Daru Jones Joins ROVR as a Playlist Curator!
Introducing "Daru Jones JukeBoXX: Soul, Beats N' Producers Luv Mix"—a sonic journey inspired by Daru’s genre-bending path as a Hip Hop drummer.
This project is a love letter to the legends who shaped his sound—an homage to the producers and musicians who left an indelible mark on his creative soul.
Recorded live at the L.L.R. RUSIC Soul-Hop Lab in NELA Highland Park, Daru reimagines tracks from some of Hip Hop’s finest, adding his signature drum magic to beats by DJ Premier, Hi-Tek, J Dilla, Madlib, Nottz, Sndtrak, Ahwlee, and the late Quincy Jones. He also taps into the rhythmic genius of drummers like Questlove, Karriem Riggins, and Jon Laine.
Featuring soulful vocals from Dwele, Solange, D’Angelo, and his sister Rena Jones, this project blends Hip Hop, soul, and pure musical chemistry.
